The 'Roar' singer breaks out of the Marie Antoinette mold in the TV commercial for her new perfume.

AceShowbiz - Fresh from the recent release and chart-topping performance of her new single "Roar", pop diva Katy Perry launches a commercial video for her new fragrance "Killer Queen". The 30-second TV ad has the 28-year-old singer channeling Marie Antoinette, but only for the first few seconds, as she eventually breaks out of the restrictive mold, cutting her gown, tearing off her white pouf and kicking down her throne.

"Killer Queen" is Perry's third "annual" fragrance line, following 2010's "Purr" and 2011's "Meow", with the first described as having a citrus twist while the second, a more sweet scent than its predecessor. Her latest perfume is expected to be bolder and more daring as it is meant for strong and assertive women like Perry, who summed it up best with the slogan "Own the throne."

As her fans start to scramble to the stores to grab her new perfume bottle, Perry will be getting ready for her headliner gig at the iTunes Festival in London on September 30. She will close out the month-long London music fest, having been chosen as the final act, after such A-listers as Lady GaGa, who kicks off the festival on September 1, followed by Justin Timberlake, Elton John, John Legend, Kendrick Lamar and Robin Thicke.

Perry is expected to perform her latest hit single "Roar", which has already become her best-selling song on iTunes. Icona Pop will be opening for Perry while rapper Iggy Azalea will also be appearing.
