Timberlake was recently announced as a performer at VMAs, which will be held at New York's Barclays Center on Sunday night, August 25. In addition to performing some of his hits, the 32-year-old singer will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for his contributions to the music industry.

Formed in 1995, NSYNC produced several hit singles that included "Tearin' Up My Heart", "It's Gonna Be Me" and "Girlfriend". Timberlake and his bandmates decided to go on a hiatus in 2002, the same year Timberlake released his successful solo album "Justified".
