According to a press release, the "American Idol" winner will work with Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood on song "Silent Night". Meanwhile, country singer Ronnie Dunn recently took to Facebook to confirm his involvement in the project.

The album will include such classics as "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "Blue Christmas", "Run Run Rudolph" and "Please Come Home for Christmas". There will also be new songs, the title track "Wrapped in Red" and Greg Kurstin-produced song "Underneath the Tree".

"I'm super excited to put out my first Christmas record," Clarkson said in a statement. "I absolutely love Christmas music and have had a total blast recording and writing for it."

Clarkson has shared the album artwork via Twitter. "Check out the cover of my Christmas album! I can't wait for y'all to hear it," she captioned a picture of her wearing red lipstick and dressed in a red knitted jumper. "I have been dying to make this album since I was a kid! #WrappedInRed comes out Oct 29th," she added.

Clarkson, who recently debuted the music video for her country-tinged single "Tie It Up", is currently working on the follow-up to 2011's "Stronger". The upcoming release is expected to drop in 2014.
