The rap duo performs three tracks from their album 'The Heist' for the show's Summer Concert Series.

AceShowbiz - The funky pair of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis is the latest featured artist to grace the Central Park stage of "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series. The rap duo performed three tracks from their highly successful debut album "The Heist", namely the chart-topping "Thrift Shop", "Cant' Hold Us" and "White Walls".

In contrast to previous live performances of "Thrift Shop" where he wore some eye-grabbing outfits, Macklemore was in a more casual, laid-back get-up for their daytime gig as Ryan Lewis commanded the crowd from behind the DJ's station with featured artist Wanz singing from one side of the stage. Macklemore continued to get the crowd jumping with "Can't Hold Us" featuring R'n'B/gospel singer Ray Dalton and "White Walls", all performed with lively back-up dancers and a funky brass section.

During a short chat with hosts Lara Spencer and Josh Elliot, it was revealed that the rap pair would perform their gay rights anthem "Same Love" at the forthcoming MTV Video Music Awards on August 25 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The said track earned them one of their six nominations this year, for Best Video with a Social Message.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead this year's nominees with six nods, along with another pack leader Justin Timberlake whom they are going up against in three categories including Video of the Year. With their VMAs performance, they will be making MTV history as the first music act to perform at three of MTV's major televised events (mtvU Woodies, MTV Movie Awards and the VMAs) all in a single year.
