AceShowbiz - "Glee" has just released its first promo for the upcoming fifth season. In the wake of Cory Monteith's sudden death on July 13, his character Finn Hudson is noticeably absent in the promo which compiled old clips from previous episodes.
Keeping its jovial and upbeat tone, the promo hypes up that the FOX hit musical series will return September 26 this year "once again with feeling. Once again with drama. Once again with passion. Are you ready to go . . . once again?"
Though there is no sign of Finn Hudson in the promo, a special tribute will eventually be aired in honor of Monteith later this fall. "There were a lot of things that we had to decide [for the memorial episode]," co-creator Ryan Murphy told Deadline.
"At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose -- that was something we had considered," Murphy furthermore dished on. "But we have decided that we're not going to have him pass from that."
