The MTV reality series will be back to the City by the Bay for its upcoming installment, which may be the last for the show.

AceShowbiz - MTV has ordered another new season of "The Real World". The network confirms the long-running reality series will return for its 29th season, which is slated to air in 2014, and will be filmed in San Fransisco.

It will mark the first time in 20 years the show is set in the Golden Gate City after being filmed there in 1994. "We're excited about returning to San Francisco, the location of one of our most memorable seasons of 'The Real World'," says executive producer Jonathan Murray, who's also one of the series creators. "The city has always been a great place for young people to explore who they are and what they want to do with their lives."

According to Variety, the upcoming installment could be the last for the once hit reality series. The show's performance has been less impressive lately, with the latest season set in Portland wrapping up with 1.05 million viewers during its finale in June.

The third season of "The Real World" which was set in San Fransisco featured the late Pedro Zamora, a noted HIV and AIDS activist who fell in love with Sean Sasser during the filming of the show. The two later exchanged vows in a commitment ceremony before Zamora died in 1994. Sasser just passed away earlier this month.
