Bruce Willis: Action Movies Are Boring

The 'Armageddon' actor reportedly says he's 'bored' of making action movies, but likes to 'earn lots of money from those.'

AceShowbiz - Bruce Willis has had enough of action movies. The Golden Globe winner has starred in a number of action-heavy flicks, including "Red 2" which the actor is currently promoting. As it turns out, he is no longer interested in making another one. In an interview with a Spanish magazine, the 58-year-old reportedly admits it.

"Explosions are one of the most boring parts of my job. When you have seen a few fireballs, its not exciting anymore," the co-star of Joseph Gordon-Levitt in "Looper" admits to XLS magazine, as cited by Mirror. "I know part of my audience enjoys the explosions, but to be honest, I'm a bit bored of it now."

"I am very clear with who I am. I work in all sorts of films, but the action movies are the ones that generate the most revenue," Willis adds. "I like to earn lots of money from those, but I do all types: small productions, mega-projects, medium-sized, even science fiction."

First sign Willis began losing interest has been seen during a promotional interview for "Red 2". When the Magic 105.4 interviewer Jamie Edwards tried to engage the veteran actor in conversation, Willis told him, "Has any actor ever told you this Jamie? This part is not acting, what we're doing right now. You might be, but we're just selling the film now."

It became more visible as Sylvester Stallone recently labeled his fellow actor "GREEDY AND LAZY" after Willis demanded $4 million for reprising his role as Church in "The Expendables 3".
