AceShowbiz - The 38th Toronto International Film Festival introduces its newly-added part of its line-up, "Fading Gigolo", through the release of the film's first trailer. Woody Allen jumps off his director seat as he stars as a bookseller-turned-pimp to John Turturro's middle-aged neophyte hustler in the comedy, which will throw its world premiere at the festival.
As seen in the video, Allen's character, Murray, acts as the "manager", setting up many dates for Turturro's Fioravante. As he enters into the new world, Fioravante ends up finding something he didn't know he was looking for. Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara are featured as two of many beauties he sees.
In addition to "Fading Gigolo" which Turturro directs and pens, the prestigious Canadian event will screen James Franco's "Child of God", Alex Gibney's "The Armstrong Lie" featuring Lance Armstrong and the Saoirse Ronan-starring "How I Live Now" as Special Presentations.
The new additions to this year's line-up also include Guillaume Canet's "Blood Ties", which stars Clive Owen and Mila Kunis, "The Last Of Robin Hood" featuring Dakota Fanning and Kevin Kline, and Lee Sang-il's "Unforgiven (2013)" remake.
Complete list of the line-up can be obtained on the official website. TIFF runs September 5-15.
