The new song off Mayer's upcoming album is debuted on the same day Perry drops an official lyric video of her single 'Roar' and confirms her performance at MTV VMAs.

AceShowbiz - Another new music featuring Katy Perry has been released. The "Firework" songstress this time teams up with on-again/off-again boyfriend John Mayer in country-tinged tune "Who You Love" to be included in his upcoming sixth studio album "Paradise Valley" due out on August 20.

"My girl, she ain't the one that I saw coming/ Sometimes I don't know which way to go/ And I tried to run before but I'm not running anymore/ Cuz I fought against it hard enough to know/ That you love who you love who you love," Mayer sings the mid-tempo track.

Perry follows, "My boy, he ain't the one that I saw coming/And some have said his heart's too hard to hold/ And he takes a little time but you should see him when he shines/ Cuz you never want to let the feeling go." She later flirtingly giggles at the end of the song.

Debuting the song on "The Morning Mash Up" live on SiriusXM Hits 1 on Monday, August 12, Perry was asked by host Nicole Biggins about the giggle, "Did he tickle you or did you mess up?" The 28-year-old pop singer said, "I think that's just a love giggle."

She then explained, "It's like the ones that Mariah Carey had in 1990 and stuff like that...Yeah I think I was going for that, I think I was just so happy, I love that song... It's very humanizing. It's like the real moment, you're catching the real moment there."

Mayer and Perry have been dating on-and-off since August 2012. She admitted to Vogue in its July edition during a break in their relationship, "I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that he's got a beautiful mind. Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds."

On the same day she released her duet with Mayer, Perry also continued promoting her own new record "Prism" by debuting a lyric video of its lead single "Roar". The song's lyrics appear through texts and artfully arranged emojis sent by a girl and her friends through an iPhone.

The "Teenage Dream" hitmaker has just confirmed during an interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show that she will perform the song live at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25. It will be her first performance at the event since the 2009 MTV VMAs.

Perry's fourth studio album "Prism" is expected to come out on October 22.
