A rep for the 'Fine China' singer confirms his seizure was triggered by 'intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress,' but Brown managed to play basketball at a charity event on Sunday.

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown's legal issues and constant media attention on him have taken their toll on the star's health, according to his publicist Nicole Perna. The rep said in a statement that the 24-year-old R&B artist's recent seizure was caused by "intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity."

Perna assured fans that Brown's seizure was nonepileptic. A doctor was called when the "With You" hitmaker suffered seizure while he's at Hollywood recording studio the Record Plant on Friday, August 9. "His doctor tended to him," but he wasn't hospitalized, the rep confirmed.

Magdy Selim, an associate professor of neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, says such seizure isn't uncommon. "All of us, if under extreme stress and sleep deprivation, would have a seizure," says the doctor, who didn't treat Brown.

Brown has seemingly been fit enough as he was able to play a charity basketball game against the LAPD on Sunday. He reportedly showed off some skills on the court during the event in South Central L.A., sponsored by LAPD, local anit-violence organization Second Cal and Chris Brown's charity Symphonic Love.

"Chris Brown came out today with his Team Breezy to play basketball against the LAPD team at Alain Leroy Locke Charter Prep Academy gym. He just came out to get the community out and have some fun and try to get the message out to reduce violence," an eyewitness told E! News. Another source revealed, "I didn't know about any medical problems. He has been playing. He is actually pretty good."

Organizer Skipp Townsend said, "We have partnered with Chris Brown for about four months. This is just one way he decided to give back to the community with a free basketball game. He is really into giving back to the community. All of south L.A. He has given away basketball shoes and done other events."

"Chris took photos with his team, the LAPD team and many fans. He was smiling and very happy to be there," Townsend added. "He looked great and healthy. He was hugging fans and grinning big and having a great time."

The former boyfriend of Rihanna scored some three-pointers at the game attended by at least 300 people, but the win eventually belonged to the LAPD with an over 30-point lead.
