The former '30 Rock' actor may return to primetime TV with a weekly program on the NBC-affiliated cable network.

AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin may return to primetime TV with MSNBC's new show. According to Mediaite, the actor is in talks with the cable channel about hosting a weekly program that will air Fridays at 10 P.M. ET.
"It's real possibility," a source close to the situation says. It's additionally reported that the weekly program will feature a large dose of Baldwin's outspoken liberal politics. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the report, but notes that talks could still fall through.
A representative for the Emmy Award and Golden Globe-winning actor refuses to comment on the matter. Meanwhile, an MSNBC source says, "We're fans of Alec but we've got nothing to say regarding this unconfirmed report."
Baldwin has been considered a talk show host contender with his name surfacing as a possible addition to NBC's late-night line-up when Jimmy Fallon was confirmed to replace Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" in 2014.
The 55-year-old expectant father has had a long history with the NBC family. He starred on the network's "30 Rock" for seven seasons and has hosted "Saturday Night Live" 16 times.
