Queen Bey's longtime stylist Kim Kimble 'got a little teary eyed' when she learned of the singer's super short do, while Watson had to resist temptation to cut her own locks.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles' longtime hairstylist Kim Kimble has spoken up on the singer's new pixie cut. "I did not expect it, but I think it is a great shock," she tells E! News about the transformation undergone by Queen Bey. "It's amazing that she made a change. It shows a lot of confidence. It's powerful that you won't let one thing define you."

To PEOPLE, she admits she was emotional upon seeing pictures of Beyonce's new do on Instagram. "I got a little teary eyed!" she reveals. "I've been working for her so long, she has this beautiful long hair and it's hard to grow hair out. I feel like it's my hair, I work so much with her. I feel a little emotional but excited for her too. Maybe I'll cut my hair off now. Short hair, don't care!"

Kimble also denies speculations that the mother of Blue Ivy just removed her weave or extensions. She says, "She had great, thick long hair, which she cut off because she's ready to make a statement. It's a great [one] to make: I'm beautiful, sexy, bold and I can do it all. She's the perfect model for that: A working woman, mom, superstar, businesswoman. She's powerful in herself."

The star of We TV's "L.A. Hair" realizes that she has to change her plans after Beyonce cut her long wavy hair. "I had a whole plan laid out... I wanted to do a retro '50s type of hair. I feel like there's going to be a meeting soon," she says with a laugh, adding, "Maybe think of the style I was going to do and give it a shorter twist. I am ready to roll with it!"

In another interview, famed colorist Rita Hazan details how she helped Beyonce get the new look. "I highlighted her strands one small area at a time. I was very precise in how I placed the highlights and wanted the color to be soft and sexy," she recalls. "For this, I chose to highlight her hair with champagne and summer blonde tones. By strategically highlighting her whole head in very tiny sections, we achieved the perfect look."

Hazan says she picked a "soft but powerful" color for Beyonce's new do, explaining to Fashionista, "She wanted to keep her natural color as a grown out look with roots to give it an edge. But, she allowed me creative freedom, which is amazing for a colorist to be able to do especially on a superstar like Beyonce. And she lets me get to the end result in my own way, which here was a beautiful champagne blonde."

Fellow celebrities have since reacted to Beyonce's new super short do, which she unveiled Wednesday night, August 7. Emma Watson, who once also rocked a pixie cut, was tempted to chop off her own locks. "Nearly got out my scissors this morning after seeing @Beyonce's pixie cut. I only just managed to restrain myself. Close call though," she wrote on Twitter.

Evan Rachel Wood praised the "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" songstress, "Seriously?! Just when I thought @Beyonce couldnt be any hotter, she pulls this one on me. #damn." Katie Couric tweeted, "Love Beyonce's new do! Wish I could pull that off! I've tried...and failed!"

Rebecca Black, meanwhile, had a different response to Beyonce's new look, simply writing, "BEYONCE NO."
