The British pop singer, who has been supporting Taylor Swift on her 'Red' tour, reveals his plan to record a country album.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran is not a country crooner, but he may be one in the future. The British pop singer, who has been hitting the road with Taylor Swift for her "Red" tour and helped her pen "Everything Has Changed", recently revealed his plan to record a country album.

"Country music is some of the best-written music in the world, so yeah, one day, I would keep my mind open to doing a country record," Sheeran told Yahoo! Music. "Hunter Hayes has some sick music. There's so much good country music out there."

Sheeran was then asked about his love life. The 22-year-old singer said he's "surprised" that people cared about it. "I am really surprised that people give a s**t, to be honest," he said.

"It's weird. The world cares so much about who people are f**cking. A lot of the time, it's not true. I read stories about myself and I am kind of like, 'Really? People believe that?' " he added.

Sheeran is currently working on his second studio album, the follow-up to "+", which is expected to be released in early 2014.
