Report: Veteran Actor Wanted for Batman Role in 'Man of Steel' Sequel
Movie

Warner Bros. reportedly wants someone in the mid-40s to star in the Superman-Batman movie opposite Henry Cavill.

AceShowbiz - It looks like in Warner Bros.' upcoming crossover movie, Henry Cavill will face off against a much older and more experienced actor who will portray Batman. Bill "Jett" Ramey of Batman on Film learns that the studio is not looking for a young actor for the coveted role. It reportedly is envisioned to be tackled by someone in his mid-40s.

According to sources, the new Bruce Wayne, who will be the successor of Christian Bale, will be "a grizzled veteran who has been on the job for several years." Though Ramey refuses to mention names he's heard, media predict that the likes of Jon Hamm, Brad Pitt and more are being considered.

Prior to the news from Batman on Film, Metro published a report of interview with Armie Hammer, who has been linked to the vacant role ever since Bale said that "The Dark Knight Rises" would be his last film as the caped crusader. Apparently, Hammer was not interested at all.

"I'm not actually a big fan of superhero films," the leading man in "The Lone Ranger" admits. "If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what's the point?"
