The show's executive producers and cast talk about how Rick and friends try to make the prison more like a home and dish on the new and deadly threat.

AceShowbiz - AMC takes fans behind the scenes of "The Walking Dead" season 4 via a new featurette. In the video, the cast and executive producers talk about the twists and changes in the next chapter of the post-apocalyptic series.
"We're making everything look different and new and unique for this season," so comic book author and series executive producer Robert Kirkman claims. "I think there's going to be some really cool new elements thrown in that will shock you."
As seen in a previously-released trailer, there will be thousands of walkers approaching the prison in the first episode. Executive producer Gale Ann Hurd teases, "There are more zombies than ever before," and some of which have scarier looks with their bones and body parts exposed.
Gushing about the story, lead actor Andrew Lincoln says, "The scripts this season are beyond great. They're deeper, darker. I don't know how these guys do it in the writers room, but it keeps getting bigger and bigger."
Kirkman also reveals, "The prison has evolved quite a bit since season three to season four," as Chandler Riggs who plays Carl Grimes explains, "They've been trying to make it more like a home versus a prison because no one really wants to live in a prison." Lincoln adds that his character will do farming.
Despite their efforts to make themselves more comfortable in the prison, the survivors are far from living a peaceful life since a bigger threat is coming. "It's not even the walkers and it's not even other people this time. It's a whole new threat," actress Lauren Cohan says. Kirkman chimes in that the new threat "could be more deadly than the other two combined."
"The Walking Dead" season 4 premieres Sunday, October 13 at 9 P.M. on AMC. New characters to be introduced in the upcoming chapter include Bob Stookey, who is portrayed by "The Wire" actor Lawrence Gilliard Jr.
