The 'Bourne Legacy' actor posts an elaborate announcement on Facebook in hopes of getting his missing dog soon.

AceShowbiz - Academy Award-nominated actor Jeremy Renner has turned to Facebook for some help in finding his lost dog Hemi, who has been missing since July 19 from his home near Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles. The Hawkeye of "The Avengers" star posted an elaborate ad on the social networking site announcing a $5,000 reward to the person who can bring his beloved buddy back.

Renner lost his 1-year-old French bulldog when a power outage occurred in his L.A. home that caused the front gate to slide open. Although he wears a collar, the neutered pooch does not carry a microchip nor identification tags. The "very friendly" 25-pound Hemi needs to get back to his owner as soon as possible as he apparently requires special medication for a hip condition.

Hemi is one of two Frenchies Renner brought home last year. "The Bourne Legacy" star had already lost one to a heart attack caused by overeating, when his doggie Franklin died during a Little League baseball game. He is so keen on getting Hemi back that aside from the Facebook ad, he has sent out flyers within their neighborhood and is said to be checking dog shelters regularly.

Renner is set to reprise his role as Hawkeye in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" coming to theatres in May 2015. He is hoping to do a "Bourne" film with Matt Damon, who played Jason Bourne in the first three films, before Renner replaced him as new lead character Aaron Cross.
