The 'Kick-Ass' actor reveals that he has been officially offered the Quicksilver role by Marvel's execs and the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' director.

AceShowbiz - Aaron Johnson, as it turns out, is indeed being courted for "Avengers: Age of Ultron". Last month, the 23-year-old British heartthrob, best known for his performance in "Kick-Ass", was reported being the frontrunner for the role of speedy Quicksilver in the next installment after a source close to the production spilled the news to The Wrap.

The confirmation of the report now is offered by Johnson himself who admits he has received official offer to play the son of Magneto. In a recent interview with Collider, he reveals, "I feel really flattered and honored that they came to me for that role. I think he's an interesting character and we're just gonna keep going into that."

Johnson continues giving details of the meeting, "I sat down with Joss [Whedon], I think he's awesome, I sat down with the guys at Marvel and they're also great. I think it'd be interesting." Judging from his statement, it seems that the actor and Marvel studio have not reached a deal yet at the negotiation table.

However, there is still a big chance that Johnson, who is married to "Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson, will end up starring in the film, to be released on May 1, 2015.

The big fan of Daniel Day-Lewis admits he has some research material for the potential role. "My wife just went out and bought the first ever cover - a really, really vintage one - the first ever comic [to have Quicksilver on the cover]," he said to MTV during the Comic-Con weekend.
