The Tonto of 'The Lone Ranger' says his retirement is 'probably not too far away.'

AceShowbiz - Johnny Depp sparks media frenzy with his recent comments in an interview with BBC Breakfast. On the heels of the arguably disappointing performance of his latest film "The Lone Ranger" at the box office, the Oscar-nominated actor reveals he might give up acting in the near future.
"Are there quieter things that I wouldn't mind doing? Yeah, I wouldn't mind that," says Depp, who became a teen idol after starring on the 1980s television series "21 Jump Street". The 50-year-old actor adds, "I wouldn't say that I'm dropping out any second, but I would say that's probably not too far away."
Depp explains why such thought has crossed his mind. "At a certain point, you start thinking, and when you add up the amount of dialogue that you say per year, for example, you realize that you've said written words more than you've actually had a chance to say your own words," he says. "You start thinking about that as a kind of insane option for a human being."
This is not the first time Depp announces his plan to retire from acting. Last month, the Captain Jack Sparrow of "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series expressed similar concerns to Rolling Stone, "I think while I've got the opportunity and the desire and the creative spark to do the things that I can do right now, I should do them."
"And then, at a certain point, just take it down to the bare minimum and concentrate on, I guess, living life. Really living life. And going somewhere where you don't have to be on the run, or sneak in through the kitchen or the underground labyrinth of the hotel. At a certain point, when you get old enough or get a few brain cells back, you realize that, on some level, you lived a life of a fugitive."
Fans can expect that their favorite actor will not retire yet before 2015 since he has already been committed to starring in several movies, including "Transcendence", "Mortdecai", "Into the Woods" and "Pirates of the Caribbean 5".
