AceShowbiz - Lea Michele has personally broken silence on the shocking death of her boyfriend and "Glee" co-star Cory Monteith. The Rachel Berry depicter uploaded a picture of them cuddling while flashing big smiles to the camera.
"Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support," Michele told her devotees, before adding, "Cory will forever be in my heart."
Monteith passed away on July 13 in a Vancouver hotel room, just a few weeks after checking out of rehab. Autopsy revealed that the 31-year-old actor died from toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.
In an interview Marie Claire Mexico before his death, Michele called him "the best person" she ever knew. She said he "has made my life so incredible and I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a coworker."
A private memorial was held July 25 on the Paramount studio lot. Michele, Kevin McHale, Darren Criss, Chord Overstreet, and executive producer Ryan Murphy donned black ribbons as they remembered the late actor.
"Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of 'Glee,' along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith. We thank the public for their continue outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time," the studio said.
