While the Walter White depicter jokes that 'all is forgiven' in the series finale, creator Vince Gilligan estimates that 'most folks are going to dig the ending.'

AceShowbiz - After hitting San Diego Comic-Con and the Los Angeles premiere of "Breaking Bad", Bryan Cranston and co-stars were headed for Beverly Hills for the Television Critics Associations summer press tour. At the show's panel, he and creator Vince Gilligan gushed over the series finale.

Admitting that he didn't envision the show's ending when he first crafted it, Gilligan said, "I couldn't see that far ahead." He explained, "The twists and turns of my character were so sharp that it wouldn't help me to know. So I was just holding on, much like the audience was, week to week."

While Gilligan "was really nervous about coming up with the end of this thing," Cranston is confident that "everyone will be satisfied with the ending." He added with laugh, "Where we hug it out [and] where all is forgiven."

Gilligan also hoped that audience would be satisfied with the ending, claiming, "I am very proud of the ending... I can't wait for everyone to see it. I am very cautious in my estimation, in general, of how people will respond to things; I hope I am not wildly wrong to estimate that most folks are going to dig the ending."

Of a potential spin-off centering on Saul Goodman, Gilligan said he would really like it to come to fruition. He opened up, "It is my fervent wish that there will be a Saul Goodman spin-off. I'm not speaking for any company or professional entity when I say that I really hope it happens."

The Saul depicter, Bob Odenkirk, is also up for it, saying, "I love everything that Vince just said... I would love to do it; I'd do it in a second. Because if Vince wrote it, it's going to be awesome." Even if the spin-off never gets picked up, Odenkirk won't be disappointed because "everything good that's already come from me being a part of this is all I would ever need to make me happy."

The final eight episodes of "Breaking Bad" will start airing Sunday, August 11 at 9 P.M. ET/PT on AMC. A documentary that recounts the show's history will be included in the series' complete box set on Blu-ray and possibly DVD. Cranston recently showed off a new tattoo of "Breaking Bad" symbol on his finger which he made in commemoration of the series.
