MTV Plans Miley Cyrus Documentary, Renews Ke$ha Reality Show

The Cyrus hour-long special will follow the 'We Can't Stop' singer as she works on her new album and delves deep into the transformation she has experienced over the past few years.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus is going to get her own documentary. At the Television Critics Association summer press tour, MTV announced that it planned an hour-long special for the former Disney starlet that will premiere this fall.

The documentary will follow Cyrus as she prepares her new album and delves deep into her transformation over the past few years from Disney princess to what she is today. The project joins MTV's previous documentaries featuring Lady GaGa, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

On the same occasion, President of MTV Programming Susanne Daniels revealed that it had renewed "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life" for a second season. A clip from the reality show's upcoming second season was played, promising on-screen appearances from Ke$ha's "boyfriends."

MTV has additionally greenlit comedy pilots "Faking It" and "Happyland", as well as hired writers Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin to work on "Scream" pilot based on the successful slasher film franchise.

Still at the TCA panel, Daniels introduced two new series, "Generation Cryo" which premieres in November and "Nurses" that will premiere in the fall.
