Ryan Gosling's Reps on 'Star Wars Episode 7' Rumor: It Is 'Not True'
Movie

The 'Blue Valentine' actor was previously reported being courted to play Luke Skywalker's son in the J.J. Abrams movie.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Gosling is not in line to star in "Star Wars Episode 7", reps for the 32-year-old hunk clarify. The Canadian actor, who gained fame for his role as Noah Calhoun in Nick Cassavetes' "The Notebook", was reported entering negotiations to take on the role of Luke Skywalker's son. The news turns out to be false.

The actor's reps tell The Huffington Post via e-mail that the report is "not true" at all. Gosling is not the only name that Latino Review mentioned in its article. The site has claimed that Zac Efron was also approached to star in the latest project of J.J. Abrams. However, a rep for the former Disney star, who has completed filming "Parkland", has not responded to it yet.

Gosling himself has not added any work commitment since he announced he would take hiatus from acting. "I've been doing it too much," he said to The Associated Press last March. "I've lost perspective on what I'm doing. I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it."

Aside from "Only God Forgives", Gosling will next be seen in Terrence Malick's "Lawless".
