The 'Slow Down' singer credits Swift and Britney Spears for mature tracks in her 'transitional' album.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez's newly released album, "Stars Dance", is inspired by Taylor Swift. In a new interview, Gomez revealed that BFF Swift and pop star Britney Spears were partly responsible for mature sound on the new album.
"The past year and a half has been really transitional for me, just personally, as well as transitioning into becoming a women," Selena told CNN. "I still feel like I'm 15 sometimes and then other times, I'm wanting to feel comfortable in my body and my skin."
Gomez also said that she's happy with the album since she was "able to have full creative control over it." She added, "Before, I would have maybe a month or two to record an album, and I'd have to do my series at the same time and tour on the weekends. I wasn't in the right mindset to fully give my all.''
Gomez went on to reveal that she had started penning some tracks for her next album. She said, ''I'm already in the studio now. I actually started working on new stuff and creating a whole fun, different vibe. It's constantly evolving. I'm super-stoked with where this is, and hopefully it will continue to just get better.''
"Stars Dance" is Gomez's debut solo album, which was released on July 23 and quickly topped the iTunes chart. "I am still in shock, I cannot even believe it right now. I love you guys so much, THANK YOU!!! Now let's party!!!" the former Disney star wrote on Facebook of her chart-topping album.
