A hearing to determine whether or not the 'Easy A' actress is capable of handling her own affairs is scheduled for Friday, July 26.

AceShowbiz - Amanda Bynes' parents Rick and Lynn have filed court documents in Ventura County Superior Courthouse in Oxnard to seek conservatorship of their troubled daughter. They are set to appear in court Friday, July 26 for a hearing on the matter.

If the judge believes Bynes is not mentally competent to manage her own affairs, her parents could be granted their request to oversee her life. After she was placed on a 5051 psychiatric hold, they have reportedly been taking care of her dog.

Bynes is put on a 72-hour lockdown for mental health evaluation following an incident with a gas can in the driveway of an elderly woman whom she did not have any prior association with. Doctors allegedly note that she has schizophrenic tendencies.

Before the campfire incident during which her pant leg caught fire and her dog soaked in gasoline, Bynes already sparked concerns over her multiple traffic violations including driving with suspended license. She also attacked fellow celebrities on Twitter with her "ugly" rants.

Public's reactions to her erratic behavior have recently turned from amusement and mockery to compassion, especially after she underwent mental health evaluation.

Ashley Benson received mixed responses when she posted a selfie that imitated the troubled actress' self-taken photo. Some thought the "Pretty Little Liars" star who wrote, "Doing my Amanda bynes look this afternoon," was out of line.

One commented, "Why do you think its funny to make fun of someone who is suffering from mental illness? [You] think your so funny by taking the mick out of Amanda bynes? Well let me tell you something. I think that someone like you should know better."

Benson quickly apologized for her insensitive remarks, "To clear up the whole Instagram thing, I had no idea what her situation was. Truly sorry if I offended anyone."
