'Gravity' Comic-Con Footage: Sandra Bullock Struggles to Detach
Movie

The Alfonso Cuaron movie, which also stars George Clooney, is one of top films that make it to the line-up of this year's Toronto Film Festival.

AceShowbiz - New footage from Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" has finally made its way out online. The latest video that has graced the big screen of San Diego Comic-Con previews a stunning visual of outer space and captures how terrifying it is to wander through the blackness of space without any chance for rescue. Unlike previous videos, fans get to see more of Sandra Bullock in the "Detached" clip.

Bullock and Cuaron were on hand for the presentation of their latest movie at the pop culture convention. During the chat, the 48-year-old actress, who made her first Comic-Con appearance last Saturday, revealed that she spent 10 hours a day locked in a 9-by-9-foot cube when shooting her part for the sci-fi film, which will be released on October 4.

"There was no improvising. The physical part was so scary," Bullock said of her experience. "They had me strung up for 8-10 hours day. I learned to meditate up there. Alfonso gave me boxes of CDs with sounds that would set the tone for a scene and help me stay in the right head space."

In "Gravity", the "Miss Congeniality" actress stars as Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer who gets stranded in space with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) when their spacewalk is interrupted by their shuttle's unexpected destruction.

Set to have its world premiere in Venice, the sci-fi flick will make a North American debut at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
