The 'Magic Mike' helmer makes the highest pledge amount for Lee's project and earns himself a courtside seat at a Knicks game.

AceShowbiz - In just over 24 hours, Spike Lee's Kickstarter project has collected $100,726 of its $1.25 million goal as of this writing. As previously reported, the "Oldboy" helmer launched a $1.25 million campaign for his upcoming yet-unnamed movie about people's addiction to blood. There are three backers who chose the highest level of contribution, and one of them turns out to be Steven Soderbergh.
"I'm taking him to dinner and we're going to the game together," Lee says of what rewards the "Magic Mike" director has earned himself to NextMovie. The 56-year-old Oscar-nominated helmer continues saying, "I'm giving a huge shout-out to my man Steven Soderbergh for the support and I'm really humbled with Steven coming on board and doing that. Thank you, Steven."
While he already figures out the identity of one of the three donors, Lee assumes that the others are "finance guys." "I think it's great that people are already doing it and I don't even know them," the "Malcolm X" filmmaker says. "We're gonna have fun regardless! Cause that's a great experience. That's the love of sports. Best seats in the house."
Lee and Soderbergh have known each other since 1989, when their movies, "Do the Right Thing" and "Sex, Lies and Videotape" respectively, were up at Cannes Film Festival. Asked whether the fellow helmer had requested a specific game, Lee said, "I don't even know if he likes sports! So I'm gonna pick the game for him."
The mystery film, according to Lee, will be "funny, sexy and bloody." Lee adds that "it's not 'Blacula'."
