AceShowbiz - After being secretly married in a civil ceremony earlier this month, newlyweds Tina Turner and Erwin Bach welcomed 120 guests to their Buddhist wedding ceremony and reception on Sunday at their home in Zurich. Among the A-list celebrities that celebrated with the lovely couple at the Chateau Algonquin estate in Kuesnacht were David Bowie, Sade and Oprah Winfrey.

As requested, the female guests came dressed in white and beige gowns while most of the gents sported black tuxedos to the occasion, as the bride wore a custom-designed gown by famed Italian designer Giorgio Armani. The attendees were mostly photographed from outside the Algonquin property as security was tight as expected.

The lakeside property of the U.S.-born turned Swiss citizen Turner and her new spouse had been set up as a cordoned-off, no-sail zone to keep paparazzi away from the private ceremony and to "avoid many boats" from crowding near the manor at Kuesnacht. Wedding organizers also set up a red canvas screen at the foot of the lakeshore garden to ward off prying eyes.

Turner wed German record executive Bach after more than twenty years of being together since they first met at the Heathrow Airport in London. Bach is Turner's second husband. She was previously married to fellow entertainer Ike Turner, with whom she had a tumultuous, domestic violence-filled marriage for 14 years before she finally left him in 1976.
