'Modern Family' Star Jesse Tyler Ferguson Marries Justin Mikita in New York

Ferguson and Mikita tie the knot at 82 Mercer space in New York City in front of 200 friends and family members, including Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet and Rebecca Romijn.

AceShowbiz - "Modern Family" actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson got married to his partner of two years, Justin Mikita, in a ceremony which took place at 82 Mercer space in New York City on Saturday, July 20. The event was organized by planner Bryan Rafanelli.

Ferguson's representative told PEOPLE that the ceremony was officiated by playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner. The nuptials was witnessed by 200 guests, including Ferguson's "Modern Family" co-stars Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, and Ty Burrell.

Ferguson's friends from "So You Think You Can Dance", such as Nigel Lythgoe, Cat Deely, Mary Murphy and Tyce Diorio, were present as well. Other celebrities who attended the wedding were Padma Lakshmi, Jerry O'Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Zachary Quinto, designer Isaac Mizrahi and husband Arnold Germer.

After the ceremony, Lythgoe gushed over Ferguson and Mikita's wedding on Twitter, "I think the service at Justin and Jesse's wedding was so beautifully honest. It was so emotional that when we weren't laughing we were crying." Ferguson also took to Twitter to say that he had "never been happier."

Stopping by "The View" last month, Ferguson said that he and Mikita planned to wed in New York because "that's where it was legal." He explained, "Weddings are expensive, y'all, and we wanted to give that money to a state that accepted us as an equal. We're too far down the planning path to change."

Ferguson, who resides in California, started dating Mikita in 2011. The actor and his lawyer beau got engaged last year in Mexico.
