AceShowbiz - Wedding bells are ringing in the forthcoming season of "Bones". During a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, star David Boreanaz broke the news that [SPOILER ALERT!] Booth and Brennan are getting married and he revealed it through a cute stage act.
Boreanaz moved from his seat to the front part of the stage after asked what occasion that would reunite the "Bones" big family again. He asked his on-screen leading lady Emily Deschanel to join him, getting down on his knee and popping the question in character to Deschanel's Bones.
After initially teasing with a "no" answer, she yelled in response, "I'm getting married to David Boreanaz!" Showrunner Hart Hanson joked, "I think it will be better scripted."
Before fans get to see the actual proposal scene, Booth has to make things right with Brennan after calling off their engagement for the safety of his loved ones. In the season premiere titled "The Secret in the Proposal", the couple is "in a serious place." It is set three months after events in last season's finale and "the relationship between them will be slightly different and the relationship will be pushed to a different place," said executive producer Ian Toynton.
Another big spoiler revealed during the event was that [SPOILER ALERT!] serial killer Christopher Pelant would die in the ninth season. "He's a little old; he needs to go fast," Boreanaz initially uttered his opinion. Asked if he had an idea how Pelant would die, Hart let it slip when answering, "Oh, yeah...crap." He later unsuccessfully attempted to backtrack.
