Adam Sandler Reveals Scary Cheetah Encounter on 'David Letterman'
Celebrity

The actor talks to David Letterman about being jumped on by a wild cat during a recent safari in Africa.

AceShowbiz - Comedian Adam Sandler both amused host David Letterman and the viewers when coming to "Late Show with David Letterman" recently. The funnyman dropped by to promote his upcoming film sequel "Grown Ups 2" and he entertained everyone once more with a rather exhilarating story from his recent safari trip in Africa.

Turns out the Happy Madison Productions founder had a close encounter along the lines of "When Animals Attack" as he was jumped on by a cheetah which he tried to feed water to from his hand. As he was kneeling over a small watering hole, the cheetah jumps on the "Mr. Deeds" star's back, but any potential harm had been averted by the alert safari guide on hand who pulled the wild cat off of Sandler.

"Holy moly! Whoa...Wow! You were remarkably composed," blurted out Letterman in amazement. "I swear to God when he jumped on me, all I was gonna do was let him eat me. There was not one part of me that was gonna fight back. Alright, this is how I'm done," Sandler said, in his usual deadpan type of humor.

But being the joker that he is, he finds a way to elicit laughs even after sharing such a scary encounter as what he experienced. Admitting that although he did get a big scare out of it, fortunately, the safari guide had full control of the situation, saying, "She sleeps with that cheetah in the bed."
