J. Cole's 'Born Sinner' Tops Billboard 200 After Three Weeks

After spending two consecutive weeks at the chart's No. 2, the hip hop artist's latest album climbs to the the very top spot with 58,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

AceShowbiz - J. Cole's "Born Sinner" has finally snagged the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 after selling 58,000 copies in its third week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album marks the second chart-topping album for the Rock Nation artist.

"Born Sinner" spent its first two weeks at the chart's No. 2. It competed with Kanye West's "Yeezus" and Wale's "The Gifted" in the first and second week, respectively. So far, "Born Sinner" has sold a total of 439,000 copies.

Interestingly, Billboard said that in the chart history, there have been only 76 albums, including "Born Sinner", that did not debut at No. 1 but rose to the top in subsequent weeks.

At the chart's No. 2, last week's winner, Wale's "The Gifted", sold 50,000 copies. West's "Yeezus" stays at No. 3 with 39,000. Soaring from No. 8 to No. 4 is Imagine Dragons' "Night Visions". The album sold additional 36,000.

Country duo Florida Georgia Line's "Here's to the Good Times" rounds out the top five with 32,000. R&B singer Joe lands his "Doubleback Evolution of R&B" at the chart's No. 6. The album, which sold 31,000 copies, marks Joe's sixth top 10 set. His last release, 2011's "The Good, the Bad, the Sexy", debuted and peaked at No. 8.

Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" slips from No. 5 to No 7. with 28,000. Behind the French duo, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "The Heist" climbs from No. 12 to No. 8 with 24,000. Last week's thirteenth placer, Bruno Mars' "Unorthodox Jukebox", has risen to No. 9 with 22,000. Rounding out the top 10 is Blake Shelton, whose "Based on a True Story..." sold 22,000.
