Russell Crowe Up for 'Man of Steel' Prequel
Movie

Should the prequel to the Henry Cavill starrer be in the works, Crowe will 'give the tights another go.'

AceShowbiz - Will there be a prequel to "Man of Steel"? While admitting he has no idea about the potential, Russell Crowe reveals he'd love to suit up as Jor-El again if it is indeed being developed by Legendary Pictures, which recently parted ways with Warner Bros. The Javert of the Oscar-winning musical "Les Miserables" took to Twitter on Friday, July 5 to talk about it.

"A lot of you are asking about a KRYPTON prequel, if that's something you feel strongly about let @Legendary pictures know your thoughts," Crowe wrote. In another post, the New Zealand-born actor, who will next be seen in Darren Aronofsky's "Noah", replied to a friend's tweet, saying, "Just getting sick of reading the same question mate, however, if it came up, I'd give the tights another go."

Last month, Warner Bros. already gave it a go to "Man of Steel" sequel. Director Zack Snyder and scribe David S. Goyer will once again join forces to tackle the second installment.

Even so, Snyder told Moviehole earlier this month that he had not met the Warner execs yet to discuss the project. "I haven't yet gotten to speak to the studio about all these awesome details. So my hope is, when I get home I can sit down with everyone and it'll be like 'Okay, so what are we going to do?' We need to do something," he said.

"Man of Steel 2" is reportedly slated for a 2015 release.
