Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, says that the family is preparing a belated birthday party to celebrate her daughter's 27th birthday after she finishes her rehab.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan will stay with her family in New York after she finishes her rehab stint later this month. The troubled starlet's mother, Dina Lohan, told New York Daily News via phone interview on Thursday, July 4, that her family was preparing a belated birthday party for the "Mean Girls" actress.

"She's not going to live in Los Angeles. She will definitely start back home with all of us," Dina said. She added that her daughter had a "very quiet" birthday with "all the kids at rehab" earlier this week.

"It was a very calm, low-key birthday. We couldn't visit because it fell during the week, but we mailed her cards and gifts. We're going to work it out to all go visit her again, and then we're planning the pool party," Dina said.

The mother of four also shared a story of how the actress would spend the 4th of July. "They're in Malibu, so they get to see things," Dina said, referring to spectacular firework shows which took place along the nearby coastline.

A judge ordered the actress to be sent in a lockdown rehab in March after she pleaded no contest to reckless driving and lying to police about a car crash on a Santa Monica highway last year. In addition, she was ordered to carry out 30 days of community service and 18 months of psychological therapy.

Dina said that Lindsay was in her "turning point" and her daughter would be better. "It's been a long road, and she's going to be fine," Dina explained, adding that Lindsay's lawyer Shawn Holley meant so much for the family. "Shawn has been so supportive and such an angel. She's our guardian angel," she concluded.
