ABC Family Tore Down 'Bunheads' Sets

The network hasn't canceled the Amy Sherman-Palladino-created series but this set disassembling doesn't bode well for the show's future.

AceShowbiz - Is "Bunheads" getting the axe? ABC Family has not delivered the verdict on the show's future but latest report doesn't show a good sign for the show. According to New York Magazine's Vulture, the network has torn down the sets of the show, which wrapped up its freshman run on February 25.

The set disassembling is just one of hints at the series' possible doom, though some show had struck sets between seasons in the past. The drama created by Amy Sherman-Palladino was not submitted for Emmy consideration along with six other ABC Family series, "Baby Daddy", "The Lying Game", "Melissa & Joey", "Pretty Little Liars", "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "Switched at Birth".

The network is expected to announce whether to renew or to cancel "Bunheads" later this month. Also awaiting decision on its future is "The Lying Game". ABC Family, meanwhile, has given early renewal to "Pretty Little Liars" and "Melissa & Joey".
