Everyone on board the bus manages to get out safely after the flames were spotted coming from the back of the vehicle.

AceShowbiz - Toby Keith's tour bus caught fire in the early morning of Monday, July 1 while it was taking crew members to Nashville, Tenn., after a Sunday concert in Chicago. The country music crooner was luckily not on board when the incident happened, and no one was injured.

Driver Randy James said he spotted the flames from the driver's side mirror around 4:45 A.M. and managed to coast the bus into an emergency lane on Interstate 65 near Lebanon. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the flames coming from the rear engine compartment.

The highway's southbound lanes near Indianapolis were closed for several hours due to the unforeseen circumstances. The firefighters were able to put out the flames in less than half an hour, but crews needed more time to clean up debris, unload the bus and haul it to a secure lot.

The back of the bus was badly burned, and some equipment and personal items of crew members were destroyed. The cause of the fire was still unclear.

Keith will next perform in Norman Saturday as part of Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert following the devastating May storms.
