Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx to Reteam for 'Mean Business on North Ganson Street'
Movie

Warner Bros. acquires the rights to S. Craig Zahler's unpublished same-title crime novel, and makes its big-screen adaptation a starring vehicle for both 'Django Unchained' stars.

AceShowbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio is set to reunite with "Django Unchained" co-star Jamie Foxx for Warner Bros.' newest project, Deadline learns. After starring as Jay Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann's Jazz age drama "The Great Gatsby", DiCaprio will act opposite Foxx in "Mean Business on North Ganson Street".

The movie is a big-screen adaptation of an unpublished crime novel written by S. Craig Zahler, who will serve as the screenwriter. Golden Globe winner DiCaprio is set to produce the film alongside his Appian Way partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran. Sarah Schechter will steer the production for the studio.

As reported by the site, DiCaprio will tackle a role of "a hardened detective" who "is sent to a hellhole rust belt town called Victory, Missouri, where violent crime is skyrocketing." Foxx, meanwhile, is likely tapped to portray the detective's "equally bad-assed" partner, who "was demoted for publicly brutalizing a suspect."

As of now, no director is secured for the project yet.

DiCaprio recently showed up in first trailer from Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street". In the movie due out on November 15, the 38-year-old heartthrob plays an arrogant wealthy man named Jordan Belfort and stars alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jonah Hill.

As for Foxx, he has wrapped up "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", in which he becomes villain Electro. The all-around star will be on big screens this weekend in "White House Down".
