The rap superstar unveils the clip to his child-friendly track for the DreamWorks animated film, 'Turbo'.

AceShowbiz - Two weeks after debuting the track "Let the Bass Go", Snoop Dogg now releases its music video. The semi-animated clip is filled with scenes from DreamWorks' animated flick "Turbo", for which the song was recorded. The track was commissioned by the studio's CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg for the closing credits, but it would surely be a waste not to use it to drum up interest for the movie which will open stateside on July 17.
In his blue Adidas track suit, Snoop shoots out his rhymes from inside a garage surrounded by cars, in step with the animated movie's racing-inspired theme. The next moment, the 41-year-old rap superstar is rolling out his all-black race car outside for a quick drag race, where he leaves the competition in the dust and the bystanders in disbelief. Finally, the four-minute, Benny Boom-directed clip ends with Snoop holding the champion's trophy.
"Let the Bass Go" not only has an infectious beat and catchy hook but it fishes out some family-friendly lyrics that will definitely sit well with the audience. "Now I've seen players, too many to name/ Some gain recognition and even fame/ Some go slow and so may go fast/ But me and my partners we dip and we dash," raps Snoop as he switches back to his hip-hop roots for the song, from his recent reggae "reincarnation."
Fans can get to hear more of Snoop once the movie hits theatres in a few weeks time, as he does the voice of the "slick-talking, slow-walking" snail Smoove Move. Other stars featured as voice actors in the film are Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph and Samuel L. Jackson.
