TV

The comedian enlists a hunky model to play him in the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' clip and pokes fun at Paula Deen while addressing his injury.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Kimmel is nursing a facial bruise and had his own way to explain the injury. On Monday, June 24, he apologized to audience who had to see his "normally perfect face" damaged, and played a video which reenacted how he injured his cheek.

In the dramatic reenactment, a shirtless model served as the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host's stand-in. Kimmel narrated the clip, recalling that he was out for lunch with his fiancee when he remembered that he needed to feed a parking meter. He bent over to get quarters, but hit his cheek with his car's door.

Kimmel said he didn't realize he was bleeding until his fiancee saw it. However, he didn't rush to the hospital and stayed to eat lunch instead. Afterwards, he went to the hospital where he got 11 stitches.

The comedian joked that having a doctor sewing up his face made him "feel like one of the Real Housewives or something." He added that he learned an important lesson from the incident, which is "car doors open outwards." Kimmel also poked fun at Paula Deen's N-word controversy, saying, "And my eye keeps on getting blacker. My eye is so black right now Paula Deen apologized to it."
