The 'Black Skinhead' rapper's latest album debuts at No. 1 on the U.S. chart after selling 327,000 copies in its first week.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West's new album, "Yeezus", claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Nielsen SoundScan reported that West's seventh studio album had sold 327,000 copies in its first week, making it the biggest week for a rap album since Drake's 2011 album, "Take Care".
Despite directly topping the chart, "Yeezus" is West's lowest debut. Initially expected to sell 500,000, the album is not better than his 2004 album, "The College Dropout", which debuted and peaked at the chart's No. 2 with 441,000 copies sold in its first week.
In addition to becoming West's sixth No. 1 album, "Yeezus" had the third-highest sale week this year, behind Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" and Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories", which debuted with 968,000 and 339,000 respectively.
West, however, still has less No. 1 albums than his "Watch the Throne" collaborator, Jay-Z, who has 12.
Earlier this week, West's latest release also soared at No. 1 on U.K.'s chart. It is West's first number one album in the country since 2007's "Graduation".
