The 'Just the Way You Are' singer delivers the first ever live rendition of 'Gorilla' as he kicks off his world tour at Verizon Center in Washington D.C.

AceShowbiz - Bruno Mars kicked off his highly-anticipated "Moonshine Jungle" world tour on Saturday night, June 22. Standing in front of thousands who packed the Washington D.C.'s Verizon Center, Mars performed tracks from his latest album, "Unorthodox Jukebox".

At the show, he delivered the very first live performance of "Gorilla", a track off the "Unorthodox Jukebox" which was produced by The Smeezingtons, Jeff Bhasker, and Mark Ronson. The 27-year-old Hawaiian singer performed the song alone as fire blasted from the stage and a spotlight shone on him.

"Gorilla" wasn't Mars' only performance that received rave reviews from fans. Along with his band members, he donned a red suit by designers Dolce & Gabbana to perform his hit, "Treasure". At one point, Mars told the crowd, "I'm hot as hell. I should have thought about this suit."

Previously on Friday, June 21, Mars had an interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, "On Air With Ryan Seacrest". He said that he wanted less visual effects for his show. He explained, "I want the music to be more rockin' than the visual effects. I prefer [a show] that's a bit more raw."

Mars will next be seen taking the stage in Philadelphia on June 24. He will visit Canada and the West Coast in July and then the Midwest and South in August, before heading to Europe in October and September.
