AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum took a break from his diaper duty as a new dad to promote his new movie "White House Down" Friday, June 21 in Washington, DC. The 33-year-old star looked dashing in a striped navy blue suit with a light blue shirt underneath and a tie.

The "Magic Mike" actor, who has been staying in London in the past few weeks leading to his wife Jenna Dewan's labor, arrived solo at the special screening. He was all smiles as he greeted his adoring fans and took time to pose with them.

Tatum was joined at the event taking place at the AMC Georgetown by young actress Joey King who plays his on-screen daughter, Jamie Foxx who plays the President of the United States, and Maggie Gyllenhaal who portrays a Secret Service agent.

"Huge thanks to all the fans who came out to our DC screening tonight! #WHD #WHDtour," the hunky actor tweeted, before adding another update, "Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, was in the house tonight!"

The movie follows policeman John Cale (Tatum) who has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation's government falling into chaos and time running out, it's up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

The flick will start viewing in theaters across the country beginning June 28.
