AceShowbiz - Meek Mill's protege, rapper Lil Snupe, was found dead with two gunshot wounds at the torso on Thursday, June 20. Lil Snupe, whose real name is Addarren Ross, was only 18. According to a statement from Louisiana's Winnfield City Police Department to MTV News, the police responded to reports of a shooting at the Maplewood Apartments at 1901 South Jones Street at 4:07 A.M. Winn Parish Coroner Investigators later pronounced Ross dead at the scene.

The police revealed that they "are currently in search of a person of interest, who is unnamed at this time." Lt. Charles M. Curry told NBC33 that Ross knew the alleged killer. "We're working diligently to investigate this case and track down the suspect," he said. "A motive has not been established at this time," the police department added to MTV News.

Ross and Meek Mill met for the first time during Mill's show at Grambling State University last year. The young rapper passed his demo to Mill and the "Amen" hitmaker was really impressed. Later, Mill signed him to Dream Chasers label.

"He was in a van, they was finna pull off. And I went and knocked on the van, on the window. They let the window down, grabbed the mixtape and it was like 10 minutes later, 20 minutes later they called me," Ross told the site in February.

"R.I.P 2 my lil f***ing ni**a #lilsnupe I tried everything in my power 2 get that kid out of the streets!" Mill wrote on a Twitter post, adding a similar statement in another post which was linked to a photo of the late rapper.
