Marissa Powell got a second chance to answer the pay gap question she got in the Miss USA pageant.

AceShowbiz - After enduring days of ridicule for her confused "create education better" response during the Q&A portion in the recently-concluded Miss USA pageant, Miss Utah Marissa Powell got a chance to redeem herself on the "Today" show this morning. Asked the same question she got last Sunday, June 16 by host Matt Lauer, Powell gave a far better answer, as expected.

"So this is not okay, it needs to be equal pay for equal work and it's hard enough already to earn a living and it shouldn't be harder just because you're a woman," Powell aced the interview, saying that was what she had wanted to say Sunday night but never got to do so because of the nerves. Obviously, the stress and anxiety that got to her made her give one of the most confusing answers in the history of beauty pageants.

Of course, it helped that she had already had more than enough time to put together her answer for Lauer, even getting some help from the public who gave their ideas as to what she should have said or how she should have answered the gender equality-related question that was thrown at her by judge NeNe Leakes of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta". Back then, she appeared to have lost her train of thought midway through her answer.

Despite the epic blunder, Miss Utah still managed to take home the second runner-up honor, with the title of Miss USA being won by Miss Connecticut Erin Brady, who appeared on the morning show with Powell.
