'Don Jon' Clip: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Brings Scarlett Johansson Home as Father's Day Present
Movie

The first clip for Gordon-Levitt's film sees Johansson's Barbara Sugarman being introduced to Jon Mortello's parents.

AceShowbiz - Joseph Gordon-Levitt shows some love to all fathers around the world with a clip from his directorial debut "Don Jon". For viewing pleasure, he introduces Scarlett Johansson as a nice and desirable future daughter-in-law. In the video, Gordon-Levitt's womanizer Jon is seen bringing Johansson's Barbara home to introduce her to his parents.

Making its debut at Sundance, the drama comedy centers on a modern Don Juan named Jon Martello who falls for Barbara Sugarman, a beautiful girl who's raised on romantic Hollywood movies. Wrestling with good old fashioned expectations of the opposite sex, the couple struggles against a media culture full of false fantasies to try and find true intimacy.

In an interview with The Backlot, Gordon-Levitt revealed that he had Scar-Jo "in mind the entire time" while penning the character. "I don't know what I would have done if she didn't like the script. I'm really fortunate that she did. I didn't know her personally, I was just a fan of her work. I think she's a really great actress," he gushed.

"I think she was really interested in what the movie's about. This is a movie about how we objectify each other, especially women - and she is a woman who is objectified a lot. She's a really great artist and yet so much of what people talk about when it comes to her is just her surface looks ... I think she was really interested in making fun our culture that does that."

Also featuring Tony Danza as Jon Sr., "Don Jon" is set for a September 27 nationwide release.
