Caleb, Jared, Matthew and Nathan Followill announce that their 'Mechanical Bull' is due on September 29 and premiere new single off the album, 'Super Soaker', at the New York festival.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Fallon helped Kings of Leon announce the release date of their new album, "Mechanical Bull". The host of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" revealed that the follow-up to the band's "Come Around Sundown" would arrive on September 24.

"Mechanical Bull" is Kings of Leon's sixth studio album. The album, which was recorded in the band's Nashville studio, is produced by Angelo Petraglia. Petraglia has been producing and co-writing some songs for the rock band since their 2007 album, "Because of the Times".

Confirming that the upcoming album had been completed, Kings of Leon's Jared Followill said earlier this year, "I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I'm amazed how youthful it sounds. It's like a mix of 'Youth and Young Manhood' and 'Because of The Times'. "

During a rescheduled performance at the 2013 Governor's Ball in New York on Saturday, June 8, Kings of Leon treated fans with a new single off the upcoming album, "Super Soaker". "We're going to play a song we never played before," lead singer Caleb Followill told the crowd before performing the track. "So if we mess it up, it's your fault."

Kings of Leon will next return to the U.K. for several tour dates including gigs at London's O2 on June 12 and 13 and Manchester Arena on June 24 and 25 before heading to Birmingham on July 9 and 10.
