In Program of the Year, the Keri Russell-starring series faces a stiff competition from "Breaking Bad", "Game of Thrones", "House of Cards" and "The Walking Dead". "The Americans", "Breaking Bad" and "Thrones" are once again pitted against one another in Outstanding Achievement in Drama category, which also has "Homeland" and "Mad Men" as nominees.

For the Outstanding New Program title, "The Americans" will face off "Elementary", "House of Cards", "The Mindy Project" and "Orphan Black". Rhys, meanwhile, finds himself in competition with Bryan Cranston of "Breaking Bad", Vera Farmiga of "Bates Motel", Tatiana Maslany of "Orphan Black" and Monica Potter of "Parenthood" for the Individual Achievement in Drama trophy.

Other shows getting multiple nominations are "Parks and Recreation" and "New Girl" with two each. Both of them are vying for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy honor along with "The Big Bang Theory", "Louie" and "Veep".

Network wise, FX leads with a total of seven nominations. CBS, NBC and HBO follow with six apiece, and AMC picks up five nod.

"These were not easy choices for our 200-plus members," TCA President Candace Havens says of the nominations. "The past TV season was filled with deserving people and programs, and these are the cream of the crop."

The winners will be announced August 3, during the summer's TCA press tour.
