The pop/R'n'B diva has announced via Twitter the release date of her forthcoming studio album.

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey took to Twitter on Wednesday, June 5, to reveal the July 23 arrival of her new studio album. It will be the 43-year-old diva's first LP in four years, since 2009's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel".
"The New Era Begins.. 7/23 #MC723," Carey tweeted. The new album, which the Grammy Award-winning singer says will have "more raw ballads than people might expect," will feature tracks from such record producers as Bryan-Michael Cox, Hit-Boy, The-Dream and Carey's pal and ever-reliable collaborator Jermaine Dupri of So So Def Recording, who has produced her big hits "Always Be My Baby" and "We Belong Together".
The album's lead single, "#Beautiful" featuring "Adorn" singer Miguel, has been very-well received upon its debut last month, hitting No. 1 in 30 different countries and presently holding the #20 position on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Carey and Miguel even performed it live just recently at Hot 97's Summer Jam XX.
Although it had also been confirmed that Carey wouldn't be coming back for another season of judging "American Idol", she won't taking it easy at all, as she is set to go on a world tour in the coming months to support her upcoming album. She will likewise be appearing on the NBC special "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" which will be hosted by her husband, Nick Cannon.
