AceShowbiz - Country music star Carrie Underwood will use her forthcoming performance at the upcoming CMT Music Awards Wednesday, June 5 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville to pay tribute to the victims of the recent tornadoes that have devastated Oklahoma. The 30-year-old singer will dedicate her new single "See You Again" as a somber memorial backed up by 2 dozen members of the Nashville Christ Church choir.

The "American Idol" season-three grand winner, who was born and raised in Oklahoma, made a $1 million donation to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund soon after the tragedy. Donations to the said humanitarian organization can also be made during Underwood's appearance at the annual awards show.

Underwood is one of many country music artists that have stepped up to put fundraising efforts into motion following the tornadoes that have ravaged the state in the last two weeks. Fellow Oklahoma native Blake Shelton successfully pulled off the "Healing in the Heartland" benefit concert, raising $6 million in pledges and ticket sales and 8.6 million viewers who watched the NBC telecast.

Toby Keith, who is a native of the badly-hit city of Moore, Oklahoma flew in from Nashville to return to his hometown and encourage donations to both the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. Meanwhile, Ronnie Dunn is spearheading a "second wave" of tornado relief for those affected, which will reportedly feature Keith and Garth Brooks.
