The money will go to the California Coastal Commission as a compensation for Parker's elaborate wedding backdrop built too close to a protected area.

AceShowbiz - Sean Parker's lavish wedding in Big Sur reportedly cost around $10 million, but the early Facebook adviser apparently had to fork out more money to make it happen. There was an additional 2.5 million on his bill as he agreed to compensate the California Coastal Commission for building an elaborate setting in an ecologically sensitive area of state without proper permits.

Parker married his fiancee and baby mama Alexandra Lenas at The Ventana Inn over the weekend. A landscaping company was hired to build fake ruins, waterfalls and bridges to provide a backdrop equivalent of a movie set. Rumor has it, the stone gate alone cost $600,000. Meanwhile, the dance floor cost $350,000 and the bill for flowers and plants totaled $1 million.

The Napster co-founder tapped "Lord of the Rings" costume designer Ngila Dickson to take charge of the wardrobe department. Aside from dressing the billionaire groom, the award-winning designer also designed outfits for the couple's 4-month-old daughter Winter Victoria and their guests.

"We always dreamed of getting married in Big Sur, one of the most magical places on earth," Parker said in a statement. "In continuing my foundation's mission, we are excited to support these important conservation-related projects for and with the local community." He also agreed to create a video or app that could help identify areas of the coast that the public can access.
