The Matthew Bellamy-fronted band had the crowd and the film's star Brad Pitt rocking out to their hits.

AceShowbiz - English rock band Muse rocked London's Horse Guards Parade Ground in St. James's Park on Sunday night, June 2 after the world premiere of the new apocalyptic horror film "World War Z". After the Marc Forster-directed film was shown at the Leicester Square, the rock trio of Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard entertained the hordes who came for the post-premiere concert.

Bellamy kept the 15,000-strong crowd on their feet as he sang the band's most popular hits, like "Knights of Cydonia" and "Supremacy". The band's own track "Isolated System" and music from their latest album "The 2nd Law" have been used within the movie and their performance after the premiere screening was a novel way of promoting the much-awaited film starring Brad Pitt.

Before their post-premiere performance, Muse first dropped by the red carpet premiere, gamely posing for pictures prior to getting a first look at the new flick. In an interview during the premiere, Bellamy revealed that the movie's lead actor Pitt was actually a fan of his group and that among all the films that the band had done music for, "World Was Z" was his favorite.

And being a self-confessed Muse fan, Pitt caught a peek of the band's concert after the premiere, showing up briefly before slipping out quietly to enjoy a quiet dinner with celebrity fiancee Angelina Jolie who supported Pitt for the big premiere of his new movie. It was Jolie's first public appearance following her much talked about announcement that she had preventive double mastectomy.
